I’ve been on a mission to buy as many jumpers as I can recently, in time for the cold weather, and this grey one from Shein is one of my favourites. It is amazing quality, I can’t wait to wear it with some wide legged trousers and heels, it’s also under £16, so great value for money. I love paring a top & bottom piece of a similar colour/tone. Along with combinations of textures, so this knit grey knit and silk silver skirt are just the perfect combination for me. The skirt gives more of a lux feel to quite an everyday outfit. I don’t need to tell you guys how much of a staple a leather jacket is. I am actually on the lookout for an oversized version as we speak.

I can be the queen of being hard on myself, its unfortunately a trait that has followed me since school. I feel I need to try as hard as I can and do the best I can, great you say? With this often comes the side effect of then beating yourself up (mentally) when you don’t achieve quite what you thought you would. Especially as you start to do well, whether that is in your job/hobby/family life, I find the better you get at something, and the more it starts to pay off, the harder you are on yourself and the more critical you become of your work.

I am actually the hardest on myself when it comes to blogging, more than any other aspect of my life. I often look at my bank of pictures, ready to put on Instagram, and I can tear them apart in a matter of minutes. I have to remind myself on a daily basis that blogging is my hobby and it’s supposed to be fun, 90% of the time it is tremendous fun, the 10% of the time it’s not is purely down to me putting pressure on myself and overanalysing everything I do. My aim over the next few weeks is to just try to enjoy it more, it’s not my full-time job, it’s my hobby and I am blessed to be in the position to be able to put so much energy into it. So, my advice to any bloggers out there who are probably being too hard on themselves, remember to enjoy it. Who cares if you get 800 likes or 100 likes on a photo, if you love it then you’ve achieved something, do this for you, nobody else, and if other people appreciate what you do then that’s just a bonus.

Black leather jacket – Sold out – similar Zara

This red jumper from Romwe is exactly what I have been looking for. Its honestly so warm and I love the length of it, not too cropped, or too long, meaning you can tuck the front into a skirt/pair of high-waisted trousers (it’s also a mega bargain). I love how both this autumn and last autumn, we saw the rise of the patent fabrics, not quite leather, not quite plastic. I love this type of skirt look so amazing paired with a knit, it dresses it down and brings it all together. Finally, the maxi trench, seriously everybody needs a trench like this, it’s just so versatile and it goes with everything.

On the to the juicy bit!! I’d started feeling like I’d lost my sense of style a few weeks ago, this has come from putting on a bit of weight, the change of season & in a fashion sense I’ve just really felt a little lost. I’d seen so many amazing bloggers on Instagram wearing so many amazing styles that really just looked pants on me. So how have I got out of this rut? If I am honest I’m still getting out of it, but I’m feeling a lot better. Every couple of months, I find it very cathartic to just clear out my wardrobe and get rid of lots of things, that then enables me to see exactly what I have left in my wardrobe, and importantly what I still need.

I try to make sure that what I am left with I absolutely love, rather than just keeping the things that I kind of like. I’ve also been doing sooooo much Instagram research into lots of outfits and styles on other blogger that I love, and that I know I would feel good in. Of course, that meant a couple of mini shopping sprees, but sometimes you just need a good shop! As a woman (and even more so a blogger) it’s a rubbish feeling looking in your wardrobe & thinking I hate it all! Therefore this week I intend to clear out, find old favourite items and get inspired.

Zip up black patent skirt – Pretty Little Thing via ASOS

Can we just appreciate just how ruffley this wrap around is! I am so happy that ruffles are staying around for autumn/winter this year, anything ruffled and I’m in. So, the baker boy hat, I struggled with this for a while, I loved it on other people but not on me! However, I’ve attempted it and I don’t think it turned out too badly. The backless mules I bought from Steven Madden while in America, they are going to be such a staple part of my autumn wardrobe.

Soooo the Monday blues, don’t get me wrong guys I love my job, and I love being at work, but I still struggle with Mondays, the weekend seems to have slipped through my fingers and I’m just not ready!! I am still by no means the perfect Monday morning go getter, but I wanted to let you know what is helping me get through the first day of the week, and making Mondays a lot more enjoyable! I always think as it is the weekend it’s my right to stay up and late and do what I want with my time, but I realised that this can’t happen on a Sunday, if I want a stress-free Monday morning! So, I decided to put a few rules in place. Of course, I am not going to feel great on a Monday if I am no getting enough sleep, so like a week day I am in bed for 10.00pm. This also leads to my next point, my partner and I don’t go to the gym on a Monday morning, it’s our day off (and honestly something I can’t force myself to do on a Monday morning), but I always wake up an extra 30 minutes early on a Monday, this means I have time to make a coffee and have a snuggle with my partner & dog. I then cook eggs for myself (which I never normally have time to do in the week), I honestly can’t tell you have much this 30 minutes helps set you up for the day.

The next biggie is to prepare as much as you can on a Sunday! Choose your outfit for Monday and have it ready (if I’m being ultra-organised I choose my outfits for the whole week!) make your lunch and pack your bags. This will take so much stress out of Monday mornings and mean you have more time to relax. I also plan to do something fun every Monday after work, whether that’s meeting friends or having a date night with my partner, even better do a sport. My partner and I like to play badminton, or go bouldering. It just means that you really have something to look forward to each Monday and it helps you to remember that week nights are fun too, you just have to make them fun!

Outfit deets for you babes, first let’s just appreciate the coolness (totally not a word) of this jumpsuit/pinafore (whatever it is), I wanted to style this in a casual way as soon as I saw it, but it would also look amazing worn in an office, with heels & a flute sleeve white shirt. This tee is pretty much my favourite thing I own at the minute, if you’ve not heard of the brand Elle Est Femme then check them out babes, the quality of the tees is insane, you can honestly see and feel the quality of the material. I know this is so boring but they also wash so well, I hate it when you get a brand-new tee and the print fades after only one wash! Elle Est Femme offer the coolest pro-women slogan tees, I’m sold!

So how do you afford all of the clothes you buy? Thats often a question I get from people (mainly my Dad!) but I can tell you exactly how I do this. I sell the ones I don’t want anymore or have worn once or twice, and know I won’t wear again. The quicker you can do this after purchasing the items the better, as in more money you’ll make from the piece of clothing. As I am a blogger I am notorious for wearing something once, photographing it and then never wearing it again, so everything I sell is pretty much new, which is of course a bonus for most people purchasing from me.

So selling platforms? I primarily use the app Depop, as I think it is a great platform to really get your items under the nose of a fashion conscious audience. If you’ve never come across Depop before then I really do recommend it, it is kind of a mixture between Instagram & Ebay, but with no auctions just ‘buy it nows’. The great thing is you set your price on Depop, hashtag the listing and then wait for people to come to you, if you don’t get a bite then you know your prices are to high, just start gradually reducing them over the next few days and see where you get. I will use Ebay if I have had items on Depop for a while and they are not budging, list them for 3 days and you are on your way! Good luck selling babes, and remember the more you sell…..the more you can buy :).

Black pinafore jumpsuit – Romwe

As you guys know I like to talk outfit first, then get to the deep stuff :). I love the embroidered sweater trend we saw all over the high-street last year and I’m happy to say its back, yeay! This version from Romwe is just the perfect amount of embroidered for me, and the quality is amazing, especially for the bargain price. If I can recommend one type of denim it will be a vintage pair of Levi mom jeans, you will never not love them. I’ve had these for years and I still love them as much as the first day I bought them. Of course, they are ‘do it yourself’ rips, which look better and better over time.

So blogging with a full time job, yep, its honestly so flipping hard. You have to want to blog, I mean really want to blog, and make it part of your life. It is time consuming, from working out what outfits you want to shoot, to actually taking the pictures to editing, to posting on Instagram (and having some kind of mild strategy) to writing blog posts.

My advice for anybody who wants to blog, with a full-time job, is to block out sections of time where you know you have to do something and stick to it every day/week. For example, on Instagram I always post at 7.30am and around 8.00pm every day, this is genuinely part of my daily routine and it now feels unnatural if I don’t stick to it. I also write my blog posts for the next week on a Sunday, it sets me up for the week, then I know I only have Instagram to concentrate on. Lastly (and this one’s important) you need someone who is really going to be dedicated to helping you on pretty much a daily basis to take pictures, because unfortunately it’s pretty hard without that. My fiancé (Instagram husband) is an absolute star and is so patient with me, he takes my pictures in the rain, when we are running around and do not have time for pictures in the first place, and when I he has to take about 60 photos because I am convinced my legs look fat! Don’t let any of this but you off because I love it, and I am so happy to say that I am a blogger, yes it hard but it’s absolutely worth it, so getting blogger babes <3.

Embroidered black sweater – Romwe

If this is not this seasons off the shoulder shirt of dreams then I don’t know what is, I am absolutely in love with it! Oh and whats more is its £14, yes you heard that right, 14 whole pounds & its honestly such good quality. The ruffles on the arms are such a cute feature & I love how its looks tied at the front. I’m loving stripes on stripes this season, especially when it comes to pairing pretty much everything with wide leg trousers!

Do I have a shopping habit? Absolutely I do, I genuinely use fashion blogging as an excuse to buy more clothes than is really necessary, and I am pretty sure I will continue to do this for as long as blog. Is that a good thing to admit? Probably not! But that feeling when you know you have something really cool coming in the post, I absolutely love!

What I would like to start doing is buying more quality items, that I will continue to keep wearing and styling for years to come. Items along the lines of the classic black double breasted blazer & staple black tailored trousers, or a really quality pair of black ankle boots. Although I am in love with fast fashion and the excitement that a new season brings, it is definitely important to have items in your wardrobe that you just can’t live without. Now to write a list of my dream items :).

Off the shoulder striped shirt – Shein

If you guys have not got into the stripped trouser trend then don’t worry lovelies there is still time! I love the sightly cropped element of these stripped versions from Shein, as I love wide leg trousers paired with trainers. This nude/pink hoody is crazy comfortable and love it with these type of trousers. This outfit is the perfect weekend comfy outfit for me, pretty much one step up from PJs!

I decided recently that I would love my readers to really get to know me, and for me to share some person things about me and my life. I think that as women we can learn from each other, by reading about our experiences and knowing that we can relate, and most of that time knowing that we are not crazy! So what I’d like to talk to you guys about today is body confidence, and what that means. For years I’ve had a constant battle with keeping my weight stable. I am by no means saying that I am overweight (I know thats not the case) but its always frustrated me that my weight can fluctuate so rapidly and I can start to very easily feel out of control.

Right now is definitely one of those times, I call it my happy weight, because really for the first time in my life I’m very staple, the most perfect fiancee ever and my dream job. I often find it hard to really focus on too many things at a time and it is important that I focus on my relationship & family, my job & my blogging. However I am determined to get back to the gym and start looking after myself. Not because I want to lose weight, but because I finally want it to be staple and to feel confident about my body! I hope lots of you can relate to this lovelies, and I know that weight is not important, but how we feel about ourselves really really is ❤

I want to talk about what I’m wearing, but then I kind of don’t, because how cool is our new garden table & benches!! Its a vintage german beer table and benches & its flipping the best thing ever! Anyway back to the clothes! The best bargain silver boots in the world, they were £12 in the sale from Zara, £12!!!! I know they are no longer available but I will link below a similar pair (silver of course).

I also think the main star of the picture is clearly Ralph (who likes the new table as much as we do). I digress again! This floral shirred top from Zara is such a lovely summer top & goes with pretty much everything. I know I’ve said it before but I loved the shirred style tops that are everywhere this season.

If you’ve not tried the Topshop Jamie jeans then you need too, I think they are the best skinny jeans you can buy on the high street. They have just the right amount of stretch, and are the perfect level of high-waisted.
