My favourite t-shirt brand & selling your old clothes to fund new ones!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Outfit deets for you babes, first let’s just appreciate the coolness (totally not a word) of this jumpsuit/pinafore (whatever it is), I wanted to style this in a casual way as soon as I saw it, but it would also look amazing worn in an office, with heels & a flute sleeve white shirt. This tee is pretty much my favourite thing I own at the minute, if you’ve not heard of the brand Elle Est Femme then check them out babes, the quality of the tees is insane, you can honestly see and feel the quality of the material. I know this is so boring but they also wash so well, I hate it when you get a brand-new tee and the print fades after only one wash! Elle Est Femme offer the coolest pro-women slogan tees, I’m sold!

So how do you afford all of the clothes you buy? Thats often a question I get from people (mainly my Dad!) but I can tell you exactly how I do this. I sell the ones I don’t want anymore or have worn once or twice, and know I won’t wear again. The quicker you can do this after purchasing the items the better, as in more money you’ll make from the piece of clothing. As I am a blogger I am notorious for wearing something once, photographing it and then never wearing it again, so everything I sell is pretty much new, which is of course a bonus for most people purchasing from me.

So selling platforms? I primarily use the app Depop, as I think it is a great platform to really get your items under the nose of a fashion conscious audience. If you’ve never come across Depop before then I really do recommend it, it is kind of a mixture between Instagram & Ebay, but with no auctions just ‘buy it nows’. The great thing is you set your price on Depop, hashtag the listing and then wait for people to come to you, if you don’t get a bite then you know your prices are to high, just start gradually reducing them over the next few days and see where you get. I will use Ebay if I have had items on Depop for a while and they are not budging, list them for 3 days and you are on your way! Good luck selling babes, and remember the more you sell…..the more you can buy :).

Embroidered sweaters and blogging with a full-time job

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

As you guys know I like to talk outfit first, then get to the deep stuff :). I love the embroidered sweater trend we saw all over the high-street last year and I’m happy to say its back, yeay! This version from Romwe is just the perfect amount of embroidered for me, and the quality is amazing, especially for the bargain price. If I can recommend one type of denim it will be a vintage pair of Levi mom jeans, you will never not love them. I’ve had these for years and I still love them as much as the first day I bought them. Of course, they are ‘do it yourself’ rips, which look better and better over time.

So blogging with a full time job, yep, its honestly so flipping hard. You have to want to blog, I mean really want to blog, and make it part of your life.  It is time consuming, from working out what outfits you want to shoot, to actually taking the pictures to editing, to posting on Instagram (and having some kind of mild strategy) to writing blog posts.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

My advice for anybody who wants to blog, with a full-time job, is to block out sections of time where you know you have to do something and stick to it every day/week. For example, on Instagram I always post at 7.30am and around 8.00pm every day, this is genuinely part of my daily routine and it now feels unnatural if I don’t stick to it. I also write my blog posts for the next week on a Sunday, it sets me up for the week, then I know I only have Instagram to concentrate on. Lastly (and this one’s important) you need someone who is really going to be dedicated to helping you on pretty much a daily basis to take pictures, because unfortunately it’s pretty hard without that. My fiancé (Instagram husband) is an absolute star and is so patient with me, he takes my pictures in the rain, when we are running around and do not have time for pictures in the first place, and when I he has to take about 60 photos because I am convinced my legs look fat! Don’t let any of this but you off because I love it, and I am so happy to say that I am a blogger, yes it hard but it’s absolutely worth it, so getting blogger babes <3.

Off The Shoulder Shirt & My Shopping Habit

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

If this is not this seasons off the shoulder shirt of dreams then I don’t know what is, I am absolutely in love with it! Oh and whats more is its £14, yes you heard that right, 14 whole pounds & its honestly such good quality. The ruffles on the arms are such a cute feature & I love how its looks tied at the front. I’m loving stripes on stripes this season, especially when it comes to pairing pretty much everything with wide leg trousers!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Do I have a shopping habit? Absolutely I do, I genuinely use fashion blogging as an excuse to buy more clothes than is really necessary, and I am pretty sure I will continue to do this for as long as blog. Is that a good thing to admit? Probably not! But that feeling when you know you have something really cool coming in the post, I absolutely love!

What I would like to start doing is buying more quality items, that I will continue to keep wearing and styling for years to come. Items along the lines of the classic  black double breasted blazer & staple black tailored trousers, or a really quality pair of black ankle boots. Although I am in love with fast fashion and the excitement that a new season brings, it is definitely important to have items in your wardrobe that you just can’t live without. Now to write a list of my dream items :).

Silver boots & floral tops

I want to talk about what I’m wearing, but then I kind of don’t, because how cool is our new garden table & benches!! Its a vintage german beer table and benches & its flipping the best thing ever! Anyway back to the clothes! The best bargain silver boots in the world, they were £12 in the sale from Zara, £12!!!! I know they are no longer available but I will link below a similar pair (silver of course).

Processed with VSCO with j3 preset

I also think the main star of the picture is clearly Ralph (who likes the new table as much as we do). I digress again! This floral shirred top from Zara is such a lovely summer top & goes with pretty much everything. I know I’ve said it before but I loved the shirred style tops that are everywhere this season.

If you’ve not tried the Topshop Jamie jeans then you need too, I think they are the best skinny jeans you can buy on the high street. They have just the right amount of stretch, and are the perfect level of high-waisted.

My Favourite Boots for Autumn

TS32M22MWHT_Zoom_M_1

White boots for autumn…….hell yes!!!!! These Topshop beauties are genuinely on my wishlist to buy after holiday. Although I’m not sure how happy I will be after they get their first scuff!!

TS32M39MBLK_Zoom_M_1

I have these Topshop boots in the red and they are so flipping good. I love the ring detail on the side (anything with a ring detail this autumn and you’ve got me) and the shape of the heel. Never one to disappoint Topshop keep delivering year after year on the boot front.

Ok, there is a risk here that I would look and absolute plonker in there boots, the model looks amazing, but of course her legs are at least half the size of mine and twice as long! But I absolutely love red boots at the minute and this Zara red over the knee pair are just such a cool take on the standard black over the knee boots, we see in the stores when we have to autumn.

Red Floral Body’s and the Wide Leg Jeans

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Welcome again to the most perfect Topshop jeans of the season. I have this pair in a black and also a washed blue and they are so flipping good!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

To this read floral body, if you are anything like me then you will love a body as much as I do, I think with a high-waisted jeans or high-waisted trousers they look so good. You guys know I love a red floral so was instantly drawn to this version.

I’ve written about these black Topshop slingback ankle boots on the blog before and I honestly think everyone should own a pair. The slingback detail just gives that little bit of edge to the classic ankle boot which I love.

Stripes and Lace-up Jeans

I am so happy that wide leg denim is in this season, for me its way more flattering than skinny jeans, and I love how good it looks with a crop top. These Topshop lace-up versions did sell out but they are back stock now so grab them while you can!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am wearing these lace-up beauts with my old faithful black suede slides which go with pretty much everything. Although it might just be me but I really struggle to walk far in slides, I’m constantly sliding out of them (no pun intended!).

Finally to the most comfy stretchy crop top EVER! Oh and its £9, what more could you need in a top! Really excited to where these jeans when it gets a little cooler with ankle boots and a over-sized jumper.

Favourite Brand – Stylenanda

garcon tee

My new brand love (that I am totally obsessed with at the minute) is a Korean brand called Stylenanda. ASOS actually stock a selection of their collection but the choice is not the best. If you buy directly from the Stylenanda style and are located in the UK (as I am) you do have to pay quite a bit in postage, but I honestly think it is so worth it. I love a slogan tee at the best of times, and this ‘garcon’ version is so cute.

170801_song103_1

If you have been reading my blog posts recently you know about my recent new obsession with wide legged jeans. They are so flattering, especially if they are really high-waisted like the pair above. I think I love Stylenanda so much because they really do seem like such a stylish brand, and everything looks so much more expensive than it actually is.

170731_mj2_02

On to my absolute favourite piece on the site, this gorgeous wrap around spotty top. Yes I have a spot obsession. I also just love everything about the wrap around style, its just perfect for every body shape. The prices at Stylenanda are very affordable, this is obviously slightly counteracted by the cost of the shipping, but for pieces that look so much more expensive I think its worth it.

Topshop have released quite a few versions of this jacket and I love them all! I finally caved when I saw this colour, as I don’t have any jackets this style or this colour I knew I needed it in my life. I love the raw hem detail, I think it makes it look a little more edgy.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I love classic pieces that never go out of style, and these black skinny jeans and stripped cropped t-shirt are just that. Plus the combination of the classic backpack and a pair of black ankle boots.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Plus this vintage suede belt which which was £2.50 from a charity shop (forever a bargain hunter). I don’t think will ever get tired of looking in charity shops, because one day I just know I’ll find something Chanel :).
