Primary Colour Clashing & The Gucci Marmont

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

When you attempt to dress like a highlighter and it works!! In all seriousness I am loving all of the print and colour clashing that we are seeing this season, reds and blues, greens and blues, who cares it works! I saw one of my favourite fashion bloggers wearing a combo similar to this and just had to try it. The skirt was probably the bargain of the year, a whole £6 in the New Look sale, this make me happy as it was exactly what I was looking for. I love the wrap around detail and the fit of the skirt, it’s the perfect red skirt for me.

If you don’t own a version of this ‘mensy’ style Topshop shirt then you need one, I have it in two colours, this striped blue version and also a lighter blue. They go with everything, and when I say everything I mean everything! I love how oversized they are, they also look really great worn smart, if your job requires you to be smart of course. For reference I have this in a size 8 and it is perfect, so don’t be scared to size down.

Finally to the accessories, these are the shoes of the season for me, these studded beauts from Topshop, I know, you’ve seen them before, but I hope you love them as much as I do. Now (drum roll) I am very excited to introduce you to my little Gucci Marmont! My wonderful fiance bought me this handbag of dreams in Paris, and wow is it beautiful. My only criticism is that it’s too small for an umbrella, if you live in the UK you know what I am saying!!

Summer holiday planning with Shein

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

It’s a big Shein haul for you today guys, you know I love this brand and I have been thinking about my up and coming holiday to America for the last few months, so I thought why not start planning for it now!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I choose to purchase this button-up tie front dress and I absolutely love it, I love the tie front section, the buttons down the front and the midi length style (because girls, I know you know its either boobs or legs, ain’t nobody got time for both). I have this in a medium and its the most perfect comfy fit. I styled this dress with these lace-up sandals from Topshop, which weirdly twist as you walk…..meh they look good, even if your bare feet are on the actual floor 90% of the time!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

The next thing I bought in my mini Shein haul is this stripped midi skirt, a really good dupe for a version I saw in Zara a couple of months ago. I will always be drawn to a midi skirt because I think they are just so easy to wear, no riding up, no potential butt cheeks falling out of the bottom! I know I always say how affordable Shein are, but just to remind you guys, this skirt was only £18.98…..

For me a classic combination (since I was about 12, is there an age limit on this sort of thing?!) is a midi skirt and a cropped top. This basic top is from New Look (and £3 in the sale!) and I love the 90’s style square neckline, plus a bit of blue on blue is always a winner in my eyes.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Clearly I have gone for a blue theme here, and this was genuinely a subconscious thing, I obviously like blue a lot! You guys know that I also love embroidery, and this embroidered dress is me in dress form! I am a UK size 8/10 and this is a size medium, it fits perfectly. I love a smock style dress (mainly because I can eat more food than I probably should).

This dress is my version of effortless dressing, and I am so excited to see what else I can find on Shein, mainly lots of items to add to my ever growing collection of embroidery & blue 🙂

Stripped Trousers & Band Tees

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I actually full on copied one of my best friends when it comes to this outfit, it was such a copy that I am almost ashamed of it. She wore exactly the same things, but from completely different shops (if you know what I mean) I suppose the only clever thing here is I managed to pretty much recreate the same outfit, but found different items to do this.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I bought this little cropped band tee from Missguided, and I love how it has a distressed look to it. It wasn’t quite cropped enough for me, so I tied this little knot in the front & I think it works perfectly.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

And of course these stripped wide leg gems from Zara, I love these, but I have one problem, they are not quite as long as I thought they would be, and I wanted to wear them with heels for work. But alas this is not to be, flats & and a band tee it is. Also if you haven’t noticed (how could you not) I wear this Gucci belt with literally everything, definitely my best buy of the year.

Topshop Cut-Out Bodies & Lace-Up Jeans

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

So let me talk about this body, its possibly the coolest thing ever, when I first bought it, it wasn’t clear on the site that there was actually silver rings holding the sides together, but oh man was I happy when I saw this little detail.

I’ll forever be a Topshop girl at heart and how fab are these lace-up jamie jeans, not only are they my favourite style of Topshop jeans but this version has lace-up sides…..actually lace-up sides (calm down Grace). So you guys are aware I am wearing the body in a size 8 and the jeans in a 10, and they are perfect.

Of course accessorised with all my fav’s, my Givenchy sides, Gucci belt and Gucci bag, all of which are going to be with me until I am old and grey 🙂

Body Confidence with Jewel Toned

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Nobody is harder on us than ourselves whether this is in our jobs, our hobbies or the way we look, and for a serial yo-yo dieter I am the number one culprit for being hard on myself when it comes to my body. I recently discovered Jewel Toned a body positive shapewear brand that is not only amazing but mega comfortable.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

What I really love about this brand is how this shapewear, which of course is usually classed as underwear, can become stunning outerwear, meaning that as women, we can make our own rules. I am wearing the Major Mini Dress in Red My Mind and oh my is this dress good, it nips you in just where you might need a little help (especially when you can’t keep your hands off Haribo). I love to style a fitted item with a more flowing oversized piece, so I thought this floral kimono was a perfect combination.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I can’t count the amount of times I have gone shopping for a plain black strappy body, have I ever been successful in purchasing one I actually like, never! Until this little beauty came along, the Rocking Bodysuit is perfect, I’m not sure how I survived without it! The support this little body offers is honestly amazing.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

As with the red dress I like to wear a fitted item with a more baggy oversized piece, which is why I chose these Zara wide leg striped trousers. Just to let you guys know I have both the dress and the body in a size small (I am a UK size 8/10) and the fit is just right. Who said that shapewear can’t be sexy! Really excited for my next purchase from Jewel Toned they have the most perfect black lace bralet on offer.

The Zara Playsuit That Looks Like a Dress

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

From first look you can be forgiven for thinking that this playsuit is indeed a dress, but actually it has little shorts under the top layer. This is actually completely necessary as the top layer is really very short. I love that Zara have taken this style of dress/playsuit and made it their own, I actually haven’t seen this style of playsuit in any other high street store.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

The embroidery at the top of this playsuit is so cute, and it is actually very well made, considering that for a whole outfit it will only cost you £29.99! I also love the lace-up deal on the back, such a cute little detail, which can always be expected from a Zara piece. Really excited to wear this playsuit right into summer and also on my holiday to America later this year. To let you guys know I am a UK size 8/10, I have this in a small and it is perfect.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Last but not least my little silver Topshop sandals, they are such a staple item for me, and unfortunately sold out now as I bought them in the sale a while back I will link similar shoes down below). I actually love a metallic sandal for spring summer for something a little more unexpected.

In Love with Gingham with Olivia Rose the Label

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I have to start with this top, as it is genuinely my favourite top in my wardrobe. What you guys need to realise is this beautiful top is actually handmade by the most lovely and talented girl. I found Olivia Rose Label on Instagram, and couldn’t believe how beautiful her designs are! If there ever was a top that screamed Grace it has to be this one, gingham, bell sleeves, ruffles & cropped! What I also love about this top is it is actually reversible, I am wearing it here with the ties at the front, but it can easily be worn with other way around, which I think is an awesome little detail and it makes it so versatile.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am wearing this beautiful little top with my fail safe light wash vintage Levi Mom style jeans. I actually did a little bit of DIY on these jeans, I cut the hems off the bottom and added a rip in the knee. Although I liked them before this, all the hacking and snipping has been the making of them for me. I was looking for a pair distressed vintage jeans for months and just couldn’t find the style and fit I wanted, so I thought why not make my own!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

But back to the top, because that really is the star of the show, check out more of Olivia’s designs on Depop & Etsy (also Instagram – @oliviarosethelabel) I have my eye on the pink bell sleeve off the shoulder top, it is absolutely gorgeous. Oh the Topshop studded sandals, I will give them a very quick mention as I am sure you are bored of them now (I must invest in more shoes) but they are lovely nonetheless.

Pinafores and Fancy Shirts As We Move Into Summer

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I know what you are thinking, Grace you are obsessed with embroidery, and it’s true, I think this season pretty much everything I own is embroidered in some way! Both the shirt and the pinafore are from Romwe, which is rapidly becoming one of my brands to shop online. You guys know I love affordable pieces and Romwe is everything you could want, the amount of choice on the site is amazing!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

My absolute favourite item here is this white embroidered shirt, it can be worn with absolutely anything, high-waisted mom jeans, or the item I think I will try it with next, my high-waisted embroidered skirt which is also from Romwe. This black cord pinafore dress is a staple for me and I can’t wait to wear it with a flared sleeve top and a pair of ankle boots. Romwe sizes do run a little small, I am a UK size 8/10, I have this in a medium & it fits perfectly.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I know you guys have seen this shoes before but they are probably not going to be coming off my feet any time soon. These studded beauties are from Topshop and are one of the most comfortable pairs of heels that I own, plus they look amazing with most outfits.
