Crop Tops & Perfect Summer Trousers

Black trousers for summer?? Are you mad?? Not mad, you guys just haven’t tried THESE black trousers. If you have been reading my blog lately you’ll know about my current love for UK brand Lucy & Yak of which are by far the coolest brand I have found lately.

Processed with VSCO with j1 presetI’ve been desperate for pair of black summer trousers for a while now, but they are usually all so tight and hot. However I have finally found this gorgeous black high-waisted pair they have a mega elasticised waist which makes them possibly the most comfortable trousers  have ever owned. Plus they look so cute with a little summer floral crop top, like this one from Topshop.

The top was an absolute Topshop bargain at at only £16, along with these cream mules from H&M and my Gucci Marmont. Plus how cute are these little beach huts! We went down to Whitstable for the day and it is such a beautiful place.

Pink Trousers with Lucy & Yak

In my last post I introduced you guys to the brand I am currently obsessed with Lucy & Yak who offer handmade streetwear and festival clothing. Everyone knows that I am obsessed with pink, like absolutely crazy pink (I think thats what makes me sad about eventually leaving summer fashion behind, no more pink!).  I’m also really into the paper-bag trouser trend we are seeing this summer, however what normally puts me off is the paper-bag section is too big and ruffled. However these pink cord versions are actually perfect.

Also I’m not going to lie guys the waistband is so stretchy and comfortable, perfect when you ate a large dominos to yourself (every weekend in my case). I love how versatile they are too, I’m excited to wear them with a black lace-up side body that I have from Topshop. Oh and also the quality is insane, they are so well made and the cord is beautiful, plus such a bargain at £25.00.

I am wearing these pink babies with a really old black crop top (definitely won’t be available, but I will link you guys and alternative below) my new platform Stan Smiths and the Gucci Marmont. Not to forget my little gold heart necklace (I literally wear it with everything from Cinco.

Cord Dungaree Love

So I discovered Lucy & Yak by chance on the shopping/selling app depop and was instantly obsessed with their brand. Number one, everything is handmade, in the UK, I mean we all do really want to know where out clothes have come from, and where better than here in the UK. Number two, they design their items to create curves on slim body types and room for those of us already blessed with curves. I mean come on, isn’t that just freaking cool!

Number three, these handmade black cord dungarees are only £30, plus I love how you can tie the straps. This makes these dungarees suitable for a few different sizes (for reference they are one size, and I am a size 8/10) even my beautiful yummy Mummy’s who want to still feel cool while pregnant.

I absolutely love the fit, I wore them all day in the sun, and because they are loose fitting it was like a dream! Oh also, they do these beauties in pink…..100% next on my list. I am wearing the dungarees with a yellow shirred off the shoulder crop top, and of course my Givenchy slides, which of course look good with everything!

The Floral Backless Dress

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Let me introduce the floral backless maxi dress you’ve been needing for all of your wedding invitations this year! Which actually (I think) is one of the hardest events to dress for! You need to be appropriate, but you don’t want something completely boring, so here we are ladies, thus is the one <3.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I think what I love the most about this dress is how flattering it is (oh and that its only £15.00, that I definitely love that) it nips you in just in the right places. Plus its that good material (you guys know what I’m saying) not that bad material that just clings, this dress gives you a nice warm hug (I have no idea what I’m on about tonight loves, its been a long week, lol).

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Oh and look a that back (just look at it) its a work of art, plus I have no idea how (must be the placement of the straps, but it is so supportive that you really don’t miss wearing a bra at all. As you guys probably know, Shein is quite small in sizes (from standard UK sizes) and I have this in a medium, which for a 8/10 is perfect.

Tropical Prints For The Win

I saw this palm printed dress on Shein in the sale (at only £12.00!!) and I flipping love it. I wore it recently shopping with the girls and the weather was lovely, its the perfect dress to sit out in the sunshine with a couple of drinks.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

What’s lovely about this dress is there is actually a slip attached inside, so it is not see-through at all, which as a white dress you really do not need! Its also a great length, not too short & not too long, well mainly not too short, I hate having a constantly pull the back of my dress down incase my booty is sticking out, haha!

I bought the boots I am wearing in the Topshop summer sale (has anyone noticed how good the summer sales have been this year? Certainly my bank account is aware of this!) I love how they have the cut-out section at the back and are almost like slingback ankle boots (which if you described these to me without seeing them, I’d be like ewwww no thanks!). I also love the nod towards the western style.

Summer’s Embroidered Denim Jacket

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I love when you finally get into summer & you can pull out your denim jacket collection, now I am a serial seller of clothes & I still do have quite a large selection of denim jackets that I have not sold yet (still time lol). This rose embroidered version is from Shein and being the bargain hunter that I am it is only £24!!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

The quality is amazing too, the embroidery is so well done. I have this in a size medium and I was actually a little surprised as it is way a more fitted that I expected, I expected it to be more oversized & boyfriend fitting, but actually I like it like this. The majority of the denim jackets that I already have are over-sized, so this is a little different.

I am actually wearing the jacket with one of my fiancees huge white tee’s tied at the front (nothing like realising you have a secondary wardrobe in the shape of your other half!) this beaut zip-up black denim skirt from Topshop and cream fabric mules from H&M (of with were £12.99 in the sale, madness!)

The worlds most comfy Topshop trousers

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

So I have these Topshop trousers in various different colours and they are 100% the most comfortable trousers that I own. They are literally so stretchy, which is perfect for the hot weather we are having here in the UK at the minute. I have them in a size 8 and they are great, I know I am going to get a crazy amount of wear out of them.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I know I’ve spoken about shirred tops before but I honestly love them so much! This one from Pull & Bear via ASOS actually has so much support in it which really means you don’t need to wear a bra, which is great because I hate strapless bras!!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Lastly to accessories, its my fav’s of the summer the Givenchy slides and the Gucci Marmont bag, both of which are going to be making me very happy for a long time to come. They are totally worth investing in, and I’m sure I love them a little more every-time I wear them.

Pink Velvet Top and Lace-up Jeans in Paris

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Totally in love with pink velvet at the minute and this top from ASOS is so pretty. The most perfect shade of pink velvet ever! I love how the straps are different, with one that drapes down and another that does the actual job of a strap! This does of course require the need for a strapless bra, which is not always my favourite item of clothing, but worth it to wear this beaut. What you also have to realise is this top was only £16! An absolute bargain!Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Oh and the lace-up Topshop Jamie jeans, if only Topshop could make the Jamie jeans better than they already are, oh wait they did! I mean come on, lace-up Jamie jeans, what more could you want! I love how they show just a little bit of skin, nothing too crazy, but enough to make them that little bit different to your standard black jeans.Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Then we have the classic trench, this one from Topshop is actually perfect, it’s oversized in length and fit and I love it. It is also perfect for the Spring months when the weather is a little warmer in the UK. Finally the classic black loafer, these versions are from ASOS, I realise that these have probably seen better days, and I could do with buying a new pair, but you know when you bed a pair of shoes in just right……

The Romwe wrap top & silver boots

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

First of all lets talk about these silver boots, I picked them up this week from Zara in the summer sale for £15.99, yes thats a whole £15.99, what an absolute bargain. Although I do slightly feel like a spaceman they are totally worth it.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Then we have this beaut of a wrap around top of dreams, from Romwe, I genuinely think it is my favourite top in my summer wardrobe, the quality is amazing. It’s also really flattering, as it nips you in at the waist, I also love the wide but short style of sleeve. This Topshop yellow denim skirt that I have been loving for the past couple of months, because it pretty much goes with everything!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Finally the most perfect oversized denim boyfriend fit jacket from Romwe, it was actually a little too warm on this day for being able to properly utilise this jacket properly. I can’t wait to wear it with a little cut-off denim skirt that is the same colour blue and a slogan tee. It’s just a staple that no wardrobe should be without!
