Stan Smiths & Denim Skirts

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Clearly a classic combo is trainers and a denim skirt. Lets start with the skirt, I find it really hard to find denim skirts to fit me, as I have a slightly larger bottom (a big booty is a good thing) but it does mean that I struggle with the classic fit of a denim skirt. This one has more of an aline style and its perfect for us ladies with more junk in out trunk (lol).

Then of course to the classic off the shoulder blouse and this one from Shein has been such a staple in my wardrobe. I saw one of my fav bloggers wearing a similar combo of a black denim skirt, white off the shoulder shirt & white trainers and knew I had to try it. Also the addition of the Gucci belt, which pretty much looks great with every outfit.

To the bright white beaut’s on my feet, the Stan Smiths, there are the platform version and they are so freaking cool. I am a girl who loves to wear a heel, so I often shy away from wearing trainers as they are so flat and often so unflattering on the legs. However due to the platform on this version, they really don’t feel like that, plus I bought them in the recent summer sales for a reduced price…billy bonus.

Pink Trousers with Lucy & Yak

In my last post I introduced you guys to the brand I am currently obsessed with Lucy & Yak who offer handmade streetwear and festival clothing. Everyone knows that I am obsessed with pink, like absolutely crazy pink (I think thats what makes me sad about eventually leaving summer fashion behind, no more pink!).  I’m also really into the paper-bag trouser trend we are seeing this summer, however what normally puts me off is the paper-bag section is too big and ruffled. However these pink cord versions are actually perfect.

Also I’m not going to lie guys the waistband is so stretchy and comfortable, perfect when you ate a large dominos to yourself (every weekend in my case). I love how versatile they are too, I’m excited to wear them with a black lace-up side body that I have from Topshop. Oh and also the quality is insane, they are so well made and the cord is beautiful, plus such a bargain at £25.00.

I am wearing these pink babies with a really old black crop top (definitely won’t be available, but I will link you guys and alternative below) my new platform Stan Smiths and the Gucci Marmont. Not to forget my little gold heart necklace (I literally wear it with everything from Cinco.

Pro-Women Slogan Tees

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am so happy about the pro-women slogan tee trend, that we are seeing everywhere at the minute. It’s so empowering to know that women all around the world want to celebrate and support each other, for no other reason than the fact that we are all amazing, strong women and we want to recognise that. This grey ‘Femme Forever’ t-shirt is from Topshop and was a mere £15, I bought it in a size small and its fits perfectly. This t-shirt literally goes with everything, a gingham midi skirt or denim cut-offs in the summer.

This midi skirt is another Topshop purchase, it’s a really flattering stretchy material, I love a relaxed pencil skirt with a slouchy tee and trainers. I love the idea of a contrast between something you would normally deem as smart, with more casual items such as trainers, or a sports style tee.

I have blogged about these staple Adidas trainers before, and they just go with anything. I don’t think you can beat a good pair of white trainers, to wear with dresses, midi skirts or jeans.

I Don’t Drive a Harley but I’m Gonna Wear the Tee

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I’ve wanted a vintage Harley Davidson tee for agessssss, ok so you could happily class this as something that is not vintage as it’s clearly 2003, but meh I got it from a vintage seller on Depop, I’m classing it as vintage lol. This tee is in a small and is more fitted than I originally wanted, but actually it’s better this way, as it’s not too bulky when tucking it into things. Vintage band/rock style tee’s are really on trend this season, which I love, can’t wait to pair it with my new Missguided gingham ruffle pencil skirt.

So billy bargain of the century, these culottes from Boohoo were £8 (just checked and apparently they have gone up to £10 now), crazy I know! I have them in very pale pink too and they are such a good fit. The main criteria for me was belt loops…I know, I know, but I want to wear my Gucci belt with literally everything, and it’s annoying to do this without belt loops!!

Then we’ve got the Gucci, I’m not going to glaze over that one, don’t you worry! Going to let you into a little secret with this, I bought the men’s version in the smallest size (80) as it is wayyyy cheaper to do this. I have had to make extra holes (which was scary) but as long as you are careful it worked fine. This belt is one of the best investments I have ever made and I truly love it. I wear it with everything! Go buy yourself one…you deserve it 🙂

Vintage Tommy Hilfiger and Levis Denim

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I love vintage, in fact years ago myself and one of my best friends actually traded in vintage clothes, a lot has changed since then and I think the real money is in good vintage denim. It’s no surprise that the 90’s trend is huge at the minute and I love it! The jeans are so 90’s it hurts lol! They were a great find though, I bought them from a kilo sale in Nottingham, where you pay for the clothes by weight rather than by item. These jeans were unfortunately not part of this offer, but at £20 were crazy cheap. They are a perfect mix between boyfriend and mom jeans, and so flipping comfy.

I am wearing the jeans with this pink Missguided cropped tee, I have this in white too and it’s such a good staple. I have worn it with various things in pics on my Instagram and it works with pretty much everything. We also need a good pair of white trainers, these Adidas gems I have had for years, and it always surprises me how well they wash in the washing machine!!

Finally my over-sized vintage Levis denim jacket, it will be such a staple going into spring/summer over little summer dresses or even with vintage Levi cut-offs. I love the idea of buying vintage whenever I can, it saves money and the environment, what more is there to love!

My Love For Pink Adidas and a Kick Flare

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I saw this pink Adidas t-shirt on another blogger and literally fell in love, ASOS seem to have sold out of the girls version, but I bought this from the men’s section and got a XS, which fits exactly as I wanted it to. I am seriously going to wear this with pretty much everything I own, I’m really excited to wear it with a new ruffled/tiered midi skirt I got from ASOS recently, I think the contrast between the more casual tee and dressy skirt will be perfect.

So jeans and I have a weird relationship…I find they can often fit so weirdly on me, due to my big bum and calves. I need stretch but hate that jegging kind of material and stretch which really stops a jean from being a jean! This means that I have a huge love for vintage mom jeans, they have extra space for my bum and the waist is often quite small, so I don’t get that gaping on the waistband. These beauts are the first pair of jeans I have bought in ages that fit perfectly, they are from Missguided and classed as a kick flare. I love a cropped jean with an ankle boot so they work perfectly for me. They stretch enough to fit over my bum (thanks genetics) but not enough to look cheap.

I bought this puffer a couple of weeks ago from Topshop as a grudge buy, I only want to buy clothes for spring right now, which is crazy as it is freezing in the UK! I have literally worn it every day since I bought it! It’s really thick and heavy so it really keeps out the cold, and even better it was on offer and only £45,so what’s not to love! My boots I bought from Topshop a while back so are unfortunately not available, but I will link a similar version below.
