Body Confidence with Jewel Toned

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Nobody is harder on us than ourselves whether this is in our jobs, our hobbies or the way we look, and for a serial yo-yo dieter I am the number one culprit for being hard on myself when it comes to my body. I recently discovered Jewel Toned a body positive shapewear brand that is not only amazing but mega comfortable.

What I really love about this brand is how this shapewear, which of course is usually classed as underwear, can become stunning outerwear, meaning that as women, we can make our own rules. I am wearing the Major Mini Dress in Red My Mind and oh my is this dress good, it nips you in just where you might need a little help (especially when you can’t keep your hands off Haribo). I love to style a fitted item with a more flowing oversized piece, so I thought this floral kimono was a perfect combination.

I can’t count the amount of times I have gone shopping for a plain black strappy body, have I ever been successful in purchasing one I actually like, never! Until this little beauty came along, the Rocking Bodysuit is perfect, I’m not sure how I survived without it! The support this little body offers is honestly amazing.

As with the red dress I like to wear a fitted item with a more baggy oversized piece, which is why I chose these Zara wide leg striped trousers. Just to let you guys know I have both the dress and the body in a size small (I am a UK size 8/10) and the fit is just right. Who said that shapewear can’t be sexy! Really excited for my next purchase from Jewel Toned they have the most perfect black lace bralet on offer.

The Zara Playsuit That Looks Like a Dress

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

From first look you can be forgiven for thinking that this playsuit is indeed a dress, but actually it has little shorts under the top layer. This is actually completely necessary as the top layer is really very short. I love that Zara have taken this style of dress/playsuit and made it their own, I actually haven’t seen this style of playsuit in any other high street store.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

The embroidery at the top of this playsuit is so cute, and it is actually very well made, considering that for a whole outfit it will only cost you £29.99! I also love the lace-up deal on the back, such a cute little detail, which can always be expected from a Zara piece. Really excited to wear this playsuit right into summer and also on my holiday to America later this year. To let you guys know I am a UK size 8/10, I have this in a small and it is perfect.

Last but not least my little silver Topshop sandals, they are such a staple item for me, and unfortunately sold out now as I bought them in the sale a while back I will link similar shoes down below). I actually love a metallic sandal for spring summer for something a little more unexpected.

Summer Jewellery, Oh And An Engagement

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

First of all we’ve got to talk about this gorgeous jewellery from my babes at Elnique lets start with the layered choker of dreams, I love the longer section, and the choker that almost looks like sequins (it is actually metal, which is far more sturdy than sequins) also the little tiny star, anything with stars is a win for me. Can we also give it up for these statement earrings, they are so me its almost funny. Then this little tiny moon and star ring (we have a theme here) which may I add is 925, ain’t no green fingers around here! All three pieces are linked below lovelies, check them out, both affordable & unique.

So the engagement you say? If some of my readers do not know I actually got engaged to my boyfriend Ryan at the beginning of May. I know I’ve been quiet with the details, but here we are (drum roll) my gorgeous boyfriend (fiance now, wow) took me to Paris for the weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We stayed in a penthouse apartment right on the Champs-Elysees, over looking the Eiffel Tower (which at night has a light show every hour, which is crazy beautiful). We sat with the balcony door open while our private chef bought us a three course dinner (even as I write about it now, it still seems to go to be true) of course I am not silly, I knew it was coming, and man was I excited.

After the chef left he asked me to marry him (on one knee), I said of course I will. Then it was just me, him and the Eiffel Tower, we cried and hugged and rang our parents. I honestly thank my lucky stars that I found him (and at the ripe old age of 30) and I have him in my life. I never really knew what it meant when people said you should be with someone who makes you a better person, but now I know. Soppy, but true, so here’s to the future and growing old with my man.

Summer Fashion with Shein

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

First of all I want to speak about these absolutely gorgeous items from Shein, a site you guys know I am in love with. I’ve seen so many cool looks around with over-sized maxi kimonos, and little dresses underneath. So when I saw this kimono on Shein I was like hell yeh! I love how the kimono is genuinely a maxi kimono and goes right down to the floor. Its also one size, and I honestly think it would fit a range of different sizes, from a UK 6 to a 14 without a problem. Oh and its only just over £18….Shein’s affordability always surprises me.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am wearing this beaut of a kimono with a little ruffle slip dress from Zara, which I have to tell you guys is only £15.99, yep its madness. Of course my Gucci belt & these gorgeous white shoes from New Look, so into the v-shaped 80’s style shoes around at the minute.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Oh yes this dress from Shein is the perfect summer dress, this is the type of dress that you can throw on and always feel good in. The fit and the ruffles are crazy flattering, and I love the print, it is actually quite similar to a version that Topshop released a while back but this is a fraction of the price, as this version is only £20, which is so so affordable. I have this in a medium and am a UK 8/10, I actually could have got away with a small, but I actually like this more relaxed fit.Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Just look how gorgeous this print it!! I actually wore this little number with black ankle boots and a leather biker jacket it looked so cool. I am really excited that the weather here in the UK is finally starting to warm up, so we can start wearing more pretty summer dresses like this little beaut.

In Love with Gingham with Olivia Rose the Label

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I have to start with this top, as it is genuinely my favourite top in my wardrobe. What you guys need to realise is this beautiful top is actually handmade by the most lovely and talented girl. I found Olivia Rose Label on Instagram, and couldn’t believe how beautiful her designs are! If there ever was a top that screamed Grace it has to be this one, gingham, bell sleeves, ruffles & cropped! What I also love about this top is it is actually reversible, I am wearing it here with the ties at the front, but it can easily be worn with other way around, which I think is an awesome little detail and it makes it so versatile.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am wearing this beautiful little top with my fail safe light wash vintage Levi Mom style jeans. I actually did a little bit of DIY on these jeans, I cut the hems off the bottom and added a rip in the knee. Although I liked them before this, all the hacking and snipping has been the making of them for me. I was looking for a pair distressed vintage jeans for months and just couldn’t find the style and fit I wanted, so I thought why not make my own!

But back to the top, because that really is the star of the show, check out more of Olivia’s designs on Depop & Etsy (also Instagram – @oliviarosethelabel) I have my eye on the pink bell sleeve off the shoulder top, it is absolutely gorgeous. Oh the Topshop studded sandals, I will give them a very quick mention as I am sure you are bored of them now (I must invest in more shoes) but they are lovely nonetheless.

Pinafores and Fancy Shirts As We Move Into Summer

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I know what you are thinking, Grace you are obsessed with embroidery, and it’s true, I think this season pretty much everything I own is embroidered in some way! Both the shirt and the pinafore are from Romwe, which is rapidly becoming one of my brands to shop online. You guys know I love affordable pieces and Romwe is everything you could want, the amount of choice on the site is amazing!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

My absolute favourite item here is this white embroidered shirt, it can be worn with absolutely anything, high-waisted mom jeans, or the item I think I will try it with next, my high-waisted embroidered skirt which is also from Romwe. This black cord pinafore dress is a staple for me and I can’t wait to wear it with a flared sleeve top and a pair of ankle boots. Romwe sizes do run a little small, I am a UK size 8/10, I have this in a medium & it fits perfectly.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I know you guys have seen this shoes before but they are probably not going to be coming off my feet any time soon. These studded beauties are from Topshop and are one of the most comfortable pairs of heels that I own, plus they look amazing with most outfits.

The Embroidered Dress Setting Me Up For Summer

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

So excited to show you guys this beaut of a dress from Shein, honestly I loved every minute wearing this dress. The quality of the fabric used is exceptional, which is amazing as Shein are such an affordable brand. This dress is only £28 and the embroidery is beautiful, I am in love with the red tassels at the front, and balloon style sleeves.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

As I have explained before Shein sizes run quite small, I am a size 8/10, and I have this in a medium and it fits perfectly. It isn’t too short, it isn’t too long, it really is the most perfect dress. I honestly have the biggest wishlist for Shein, so hurry up payday I want to get shopping!!

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am wearing this dress with studded sandals from Topshop, although they have quite a high heel they are so comfortable to walk around in. I actually had a pair very similar to these from Topshop years ago, and I wore them to death, so when they released this pair that were so similar I went to buy them straight away!

The Summer Off the Shoulder Two-Piece of Dreams

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Yeh yeh I know, this two piece is AMAZING, from a brand I have only just discovered Narlaka and if there was ever a piece that is totally me then this is it! I am usually scared of white shorts (big bum syndrome, it’s not actually an illness, it’s just have a big bum, lol) and I will shy away from anything white on my bottom half, especially shorts, but honestly guys these shorts are so  flattering! They have made me re-think how I feel about shorts in general, dramatic I know, but true! I also love the tassels and the drawstring detail, for me Narlaka has really nailed this piece.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

We’ve got to talk about the top, this is certainly going to be a stable part of my summer wardrobe, it would look gorgeous with wide leg trousers or a high-waisted embroidered skirt (my two bottom halves of choice at the minute). The lace detailing, the off the shoulder style, what more is there to love? You are definitely going to see me wearing this top on Instagram in lots of different ways, over the next couple of months.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Really happy I discovered Narlaka and currently have this gorgeous and staple black wrap dress which will see you right through the summer on my wish list, along with this beaut of a play-suit of which I am completely obsessed with the unusual print. Oh and did I mention this item’s are so crazy affordable, and you guys know I love a bargain.
