Pro-Women Slogan Tees

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am so happy about the pro-women slogan tee trend, that we are seeing everywhere at the minute. It’s so empowering to know that women all around the world want to celebrate and support each other, for no other reason than the fact that we are all amazing, strong women and we want to recognise that. This grey ‘Femme Forever’ t-shirt is from Topshop and was a mere £15, I bought it in a size small and its fits perfectly. This t-shirt literally goes with everything, a gingham midi skirt or denim cut-offs in the summer.

This midi skirt is another Topshop purchase, it’s a really flattering stretchy material, I love a relaxed pencil skirt with a slouchy tee and trainers. I love the idea of a contrast between something you would normally deem as smart, with more casual items such as trainers, or a sports style tee.

I have blogged about these staple Adidas trainers before, and they just go with anything. I don’t think you can beat a good pair of white trainers, to wear with dresses, midi skirts or jeans.

Vintage Tommy Hilfiger and Levis Denim

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I love vintage, in fact years ago myself and one of my best friends actually traded in vintage clothes, a lot has changed since then and I think the real money is in good vintage denim. It’s no surprise that the 90’s trend is huge at the minute and I love it! The jeans are so 90’s it hurts lol! They were a great find though, I bought them from a kilo sale in Nottingham, where you pay for the clothes by weight rather than by item. These jeans were unfortunately not part of this offer, but at £20 were crazy cheap. They are a perfect mix between boyfriend and mom jeans, and so flipping comfy.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I am wearing the jeans with this pink Missguided cropped tee, I have this in white too and it’s such a good staple. I have worn it with various things in pics on my Instagram and it works with pretty much everything. We also need a good pair of white trainers, these Adidas gems I have had for years, and it always surprises me how well they wash in the washing machine!!

Finally my over-sized vintage Levis denim jacket, it will be such a staple going into spring/summer over little summer dresses or even with vintage Levi cut-offs. I love the idea of buying vintage whenever I can, it saves money and the environment, what more is there to love!

Star Print Dress and Not Looking Cold

fullsizerender-2

It’s still not warm here in the UK….and I am not built for this weather, I need warmth and lots of it! Lucky I am going away to Italy with my boyfriend and his family in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait to feel a little warmth on my skin, instead of pretty much icicles hanging off my nose (I get a really cold nose in the winter, kind of dog like). In the meantime I’m going to wear this love dress from Daisy Street with bare legs, and freeze my ass off!

fullsizerender-1

In all seriousness I love star prints at the minute on literally anything, especially dresses. This beaut was a mere steal at £25 from the brand Daisy Street, which I bought from ASOS. This is actually from the tall range however I am only 5 foot 6 inches and I think it is the perfect length on me. I also love anything with ruffles (a huge trend for spring/summer) so you are going to see way more of that on my blog.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Lastly my giant Topshop platform boots, I’m not going to make out that I wear them on a daily basis, I really don’t, because they are really tall and really high! But they make your legs look great, so well worth feeling like you are walking on stilts…lol. Let’s also not forget Ralph, he’s here for the picture too of course, because he’s possibly the coolest dog on the planet.

My Love For Pink Adidas and a Kick Flare

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I saw this pink Adidas t-shirt on another blogger and literally fell in love, ASOS seem to have sold out of the girls version, but I bought this from the men’s section and got a XS, which fits exactly as I wanted it to. I am seriously going to wear this with pretty much everything I own, I’m really excited to wear it with a new ruffled/tiered midi skirt I got from ASOS recently, I think the contrast between the more casual tee and dressy skirt will be perfect.

So jeans and I have a weird relationship…I find they can often fit so weirdly on me, due to my big bum and calves. I need stretch but hate that jegging kind of material and stretch which really stops a jean from being a jean! This means that I have a huge love for vintage mom jeans, they have extra space for my bum and the waist is often quite small, so I don’t get that gaping on the waistband. These beauts are the first pair of jeans I have bought in ages that fit perfectly, they are from Missguided and classed as a kick flare. I love a cropped jean with an ankle boot so they work perfectly for me. They stretch enough to fit over my bum (thanks genetics) but not enough to look cheap.

I bought this puffer a couple of weeks ago from Topshop as a grudge buy, I only want to buy clothes for spring right now, which is crazy as it is freezing in the UK! I have literally worn it every day since I bought it! It’s really thick and heavy so it really keeps out the cold, and even better it was on offer and only £45,so what’s not to love! My boots I bought from Topshop a while back so are unfortunately not available, but I will link a similar version below.

Beautiful Doorways and Palace

Kensington London, probably can’t get a more monochrome beautiful place for blog/Instagram shots, always certain to make your outfit pop.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Little bit of street wear today, Palace skateboards (along with Supreme…of course) are one of my favourite street wear brands, not as hard to get hold of as Supreme (unless you want a tri ferg logo tee/hoody, you gotta be quick, and lucky!) I actually got this top in a men’s large and I love how over-sized it is, wouldn’t have been the same if I got a medium so I’m happy about that. If I can get hold of it Palace tees and hoodies are 100% on my wishlist, maybe even a tri ferg one day 🙂

These Urban Outfitters grey trousers are such a useful staple, along with the Zara black leather biker jacket. About leather jackets, I am the world’s pickiest person when its comes to this type of jacket, they are always too long, too cropped, weird quilting on the arms, but this is perfect. The length is just right, not too cropped, not too long and the details (zips on the sleeves/pockets) make it look a lot more expensive than it actually was. Also I got a medium, I’m an 8/10 and I needed it to be slightly bigger, to be able to get it on top of a knit or hoodie.

Of course it’s my Dr Martens again….you gotta get yo-self some, classic chunky brogues that will literally ever break or wear, they are practically indestructible!

Huge Camel Jumpers and Braids

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I’ve got full on love for this jumper, the sleeves are insane giant things that go down to my knees, but that makes me love it even more. However wearing a jacket over the top of these sleeves is a problem……however don’t worry I worked it out 🙂 this black bomber jacket from Urban Outfitters is a wardrobe staple and a must if your sleeves go down to your knees lol.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I love a jumper over an over-sized shirt, not just for the added warmth (although that helps because I am the coldest person on the planet) I love layering items of clothing to make them look completely different each time. Plus you can’t go wrong with a white shirt, in fact this one is not as oversized as I would like (mental note to buy another one, yay).

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

There is only one skinny jean for me and that is the Topshop joni, so stretchy and so high waisted, the only thing I wish I could change is the addition of belt loops (because without them there is nowhere to put my Gucci belt…blogger problems). Then we have the patent boot, does what it says on the tin plus I will never have too many black ankle boots in my collection…ever.

Fluffy Coats and Monochrome

fullsizerender

Honestly though, what is warmer than a fur coat? (not real fur, ain’t nobody got time for that) this black Topshop version is no exception, and it looks cool with pretty much anything. I like dressing it down the most with a pair of jeans or tailored trousers and some trainers, I love the contrast of something that could be determined as dressy with more casual items.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

Everyone should own a pair of black Nikes (biased I know, I clearly have some on my feet) I’ve loved the Air Max 90’s for years. Probably a pit weird but I like how they have more of a raised heel than most trainers, kind of like an acceptable trainer heel (totally not a thing, lol).

Topped the look off with a pair of ASOS black tailored trousers, a ASOS black leather waist belt and a cropped white Missguided tee. Simple but effective for a day walking around the city, when the tube means your coat is off and on more times than a jack in a box!

Not to forget my APC baby, what a beaut this is, a real investment and definitely going to love it forever 🙂

Dungarees and a Yorkshire Terrier

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

I like clothes a lot (yeah, yeah fashion blogger, we’d never have guessed). I believe you get dressed in the morning and decide who you want to be for that day. Some days I just want to wear my trainers, favourite gym leggings and the biggest hoody I can find, minimal make-up (never no make-up, are you crazy!) those are my mega casual days, but probably my favourite days of all. Yet other days I want to wear the dress I have been saving and my best make-up (yeah, I do have going-out make-up and work make-up, you should try it, it’s a real penny saver). What I am trying to say, is what you wear can and will boost your confidence, and make you feel like you are ready to tackle the world! So that’s my rationale as to why I MUST buy that very expensive handbag I have been wanting for the last few months…lol. On a serious this is why I want to blog, to show you guys a little of what I wear and who I am, and hopefully I’ll gain a little support along the way.

Processed with VSCO with j1 preset

My Style – I am 30 years old (could lie, I’m not going to, that’s just sad) which means (obviously) I’m not 21 anymore, and I ain’t no model (sorry mum, I do know that’s not grammatically correct, it’s just for effect) so I hope my style can appeal to literally any women out there, who want a little inspiration, and when don’t we, my favourite pastime is reading the fashion blogs of the gorgeous gals I’ve been following for years. What you’ll see me in the most is dungarees (this is a new thing, but my god I love them!) monochrome & pastels, good vintage denim and the odd floral or two. Plus a little bit of streetwear (yeah I do wear a lot of men’s clothes, lol). Oh and lots of pictures with my yorkshire terrier Ralph, because he’s cute! Also my lovely boyfriend, because he is the clever techie one behind the scenes, who has made this happen, plus he’s pretty stylish (thank god)….. hope you enjoy 🙂
