I wanted to tell you guys about the best night I had last Wednesday, that was honestly right up my street. Not many people know this about me but I have a degree in english literature, and Shakespeare is one of the loves in life. I went for an amazing meal at Cote restaurant in West Brigdford, for the pre theatre set menu which was so yummy (I had pate and breaded chicken and fries, incase you wondered) and then on to my local showcase cinema for a live showing of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Romeo and Juliet.
It was just like being at the theatre (you even had an interval, were of course you can purchase sweets…yum) and the performance itself was beautiful, a contemporary production with young talented actors. If you are a Shakespeare lover like I am, I would highly recommend this to you. For this night out I wore the above black linen style button up co-ord from Ikrush, with a pair of low heeled court shoes from Topshop, and a beige linen blazer from H&M. For me this was the perfect date night/week night out outfit, that can be made more casual with a pair of low heels and a straw bag.

I am fully in love with Zara at the minute, I find that when we get to spring this high-street store really comes into its own, so many beautiful affordable items that I just cannot resist. Obviously I love gingham, no surprise, it’s pretty much all I wear!! When I saw this two piece I just had to have it. I love how versatile this type of item is, as it’s so easy to split the items up and wear separately.
I have worn the top half over a white shirt and it looks so cool, I have also worn the skirt in a recent Instagram post, with a fitted high neck lace top. Of course the real show stopper is when you wear them together. Both pieces are really elasticated which makes them so comfy to wear. I have this in a small, it does fit slightly on the bigger size, so don’t worry about buying the size down.
I love the idea of wearing this to a summer party with high heels and a metallic clutch, or to a garden party with furry slides (I love a pair of fluffy slides, don’t get me started on that). Lastly my beaut silver Topshop shoes that I bought in the sale earlier in the year, I love pairing metallic heels with gingham, I think it’s a great contrast. I’ve actually had my eye on the silver ankle boots that are currently available on public desire…..and when I get an idea in my head 🙂
